A ribbed opal glass pendant lamp glowing softly against a pale wall

Light, slowed down by glass.

Hand-blown pendants that bend a single bulb into something softer.

See the glass

Three glasses, one shape.

Every Osmere pendant is blown in the same ribbed mould. Only the glass changes, and with it the light.

The same ribbed globe pendant in opal, smoke and clear glass, hanging side by side and lit
  • Opal

Milky white glass that turns the bulb into a low, even glow.

  • Smoke

A grey tint for warm evening rooms and darker walls.

  • Clear

Ribbed and colourless, so the filament draws lines on the ceiling.

Two ribbed opal pendants hung low over an oak dining table at dusk, throwing soft ribbed light onto the wood

Hung low, over the table.

Set a pair at eye height and the ribs throw a slow pattern across the wood. The room gets quieter.

Close view of the ribbed opal glass, magnified as if through a loupe

No two ribs fall the same way.

Each shade is blown into a ribbed mould, then turned by hand while it is still soft. The small drift between ribs is where the light catches.
